************ OPTION ONE - SIMPLER EXPLANATION ************
Build Update + Site Speed Insights
 Hi ___Client Name_____
Another build update for you as we're nearing the end of the build! No action or response is needed :)
We've tested the site's speed in Google's PSI (Page Speed Insights) and all the best practices (from a build standpoint) have been applied.
While we are on a staging server (+ using some pre-launch testing plugins, etc) the site speed will change as we go live with this site. So, if you do happen to run the staging site in Google PageSpeed (to look for things like Core Web Vital - CWV stats) it may come back negative - that is normal and something we can address after the new website launches. It is not something we can 100% avoid in our build process, preparation, and testing - however, we have optimized our build process as much as possible to ensure the best result across the board apart from actual user interaction in your live environment/server.
We retest for Core Web Vital/CWV + site speed after the site goes live but CWV results come from real user data which can take a while to accumulate - our ongoing SEO services will keep an eye on site speed as well so no worries there.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this!
 Thanks,

************ OPTION TWO - MORE TECHNICAL DETAILS ************
Build Update + Site Speed Insights
 Hi, __Client___!
I wanted to share another update as we're nearing the end of the build! (No action needed)
We are getting into the final stages of our build and internal testing process, and one of the metrics we measure at this point is the site's speed using: https://pagespeed.web.dev/. We also make sure all the best site speed practices are in place from a functionality standpoint.
Please note: The site's speed may appear slower on our staging server, and certain speed-based metrics are prone to fluctuate for the first few weeks post-launch.
Here are more technical details if you'd like the full background!
 Pre-Launch Site Speed:
 - We have additional tools installed on our staging server to help facilitate our upcoming testing phase (e.g. A system that lets your team leave comments directly on the site)
- This tool uses some processing power to run, so when testing the staging site's page speed before launch it's normal to see lower scores than what we'll see after launch
- This tool is removed before launch, which has an immediate impact on the expected site speed
 Post-Launch Site Speed:
 - Google measures certain site speed metrics based on real-world users interacting with the site
- These measurements are also averaged across a window of several days
- This means that initial site speed measurements post-launch will factor in the old site's performance which may decrease your early scores
- The accuracy of your scores will also depend on traffic (the more users interact with the site the more accurate your scores will get)
- Read more about Core Web Vitals here: https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbesagencycouncil/2021/07/08/what-are-googles-new-core-web-vitals--why-should-your-business-care-about-them/
So fluctuating site speed scores are completely normal, and an area we can help keep an eye on as part of your ongoing partnership with WebFX.
Happy to help if you have any questions about this!
 Thanks,
